Rackley Swimming have the huge responsibility of managing community facilities, at 30 locations throughout South East Queensland — located across Sunshine Coast, Brisbane. Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay and the Gold Coast. Their newest location opened in February 2024 at Smithfield, New South Wales.

Their purpose driven team not only make it possible for communities to enjoy first-class facilities, they also facilitate thousands of quality swimming lessons daily.

They offer comfortable, climate-controlled facilities — including indoor and outdoor heated pools, accessible viewing areas, warm showers and versatile changing facilities. Their Learn to Swim Program (with direct pathway opportunities into squad and club swimming) is open to every child (from 2 months old) no matter their ability.

Rackley Swimming is a daily operational feat like no other. Couple this with the serious responsibility of keeping millions of people, including children, safe and it's easy to imagine that maintaining a high functioning workforce is critical to their mission.

Rackley Swimming understand the importance of implementing psychosocial hazard management 'control measures'. These are aimed at prioritising employee well-being, ensuring legal compliance, enhancing productivity, and fostering a safe and positive organisational culture.

Expert intervention support

Having previously had an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that proved ineffective, Nicky reached out to Get Mentally Fit to explore changing provider. She was pleased to discover that we offered a multiplatform, more affordable pay-for-use, EAP service that's always expertly facilitated by highly experienced Psychologists.

Rackley Swimming's People and Culture Team now have the confidence that employees are able to get timely, confidential, counselling for common personal issues negatively effecting their lives. A significant benefit of this service has been the People and Culture Team's ability to direct employees to critical incident support, when they've been involved in an unavoidable traumatic event.

Proactive prevention support

Being a commercially minded and results-orientated HR Leader, Nicky Sloan is wisely focused on enhancing high performance and aligning people capabilities with business strategy to achieve success. This underpins everything Rackley Swimming does to ensure their overall strategy aligns with the community benefits they provide as well as the value equation for property owners.

Nicky has also wisely offered virtual Lunch & Learn wellbeing sessions to all CVM employees, and leadership training to the Executive Team which have all proven to be successful psychosocial risk control measures. Having the flexibility to tailor our services to suit CVM's identified training needs has ensured they offer employees appropriate PD support, to compliment their overall psychosocial hazard management plan.
